The purpose of this revision 7.2 is to enable the use of 2-way or 6-way valves. This will make it possible to test certain 6-way valves as ‘ball valves’ with a linear actuator. The software has been distributed to the test centres and is therefore available for testing.
The pre-testing report (General Rules 5.1.5) is for internal use only, and the applicant may not use the report or parts thereof for public or commercial purposes, except to meet the requirements of the Ecodesign Directive (Ecodesign requirements for energy-related products 2009/125/EC). This means that manufacturers of products not covered by EU.bac certification, but which are required to provide a test report as stipulated by the Ecodesign Directive, can obtain one at a low cost. EU.bac does not charge certification fees for pre-test reports, but test house may charge for testing. These pre-test reports are not a substitute for eu.bac certification.
